"Well, what can I say, Kristie is certainly living up to her name and has been my ultimate Girl Friday lately.

As my workload has developed and I realised how much work I needed to do on one particular case, and that that work was going to require skills that I simply don’t have, I realised that I was going to need an assistant.

There was only one person that I thought of to assist me and that, of course, was Kristie.

We had a discussion about what my needs would be and I know that Kristie then invested in the equipment and software that she would need to complete the work for me. I then had to make sure that my limited technological skills would be capable of producing what she needed. Having had a brief trial we went ahead.

I interviewed a client for the purposes of a statement. The interview lasted roughly 1.5 hours and was recorded on my phone while my fingers remained firmly crossed that it was working. With some additional barks from my dog who had accompanied me to the meeting, I think it all recorded fine. I sent it straight to Kristie (before I managed to delete it) and within a matter of days a perfect transcript appeared in my in box from which I can draft a statement for my client.

If that wasn’t sufficiently excellent service, last night I hit a huge snag with a document, thanks to that pesky ‘Track Change’ nonsense. An emergency call was made to my Girl Friday (as she will now be known) and before I had managed to finish eating my dinner another perfect example of the document I needed had been returned to me. I hope Kristie managed to eat her dinner too.

I cannot praise Kristie enough for her ever cheerful and willing nature and her excellent skills, proving that she really is a Girl Friday and now my go to for admin support. She provides an invaluable service to someone working on their own with limited time, resources and skills for all the admin and support required. I would be more than happy to recommend her to anyone in a similar position.
